1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by
5 adding Section 356z.61 as follows:
6 (215 ILCS 5/356z.61 new)
7 Sec. 356z.61. Coverage for annual menopause health visit.
8 A group or individual policy of accident and health insurance
9 that is amended, delivered, issued, or renewed on or after the
10 effective date of this amendatory Act of the 103rd General
11 Assembly shall provide, for individuals 40 years of age and
12 older, coverage for an annual menopause health visit with a
13 North American Menopause Society Certified Menopause
14 Practitioner without imposing a deductible, coinsurance,
15 copayment, or any other cost-sharing requirement upon the
16 insured.
