SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $25,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to
the Supreme Court to be distributed to counties for expenses
for direct mental health services provided to individuals and
families participating in mental health courts, or on standard
adult and juvenile probation caseloads. Appropriates
$9,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the Supreme Court
for the establishment and maintenance of crisis intervention
mental health care units for regional use and availability by
probation departments f or adults and juveniles in need of
immediate care and placement. Effective July 1, 2023.

AN ACT concerning appropriations. 1
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented 2
in the General Assembly: 3
Section 5. The amount of $25,000,000, or so much of that 4
amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General 5
Revenue Fund to the Supreme Court to be distributed to counties 6
for expenses for direct mental h ealth services provided to 7
individuals and families participating in mental health courts, 8
or on standard adult and juvenile probation caseloads. 9
Section 10. The amount of $9,000,000, or so much of that 10
amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General 11
Revenue Fund to the Supreme Court for the establishment and 12

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 16
2023. 17
