4		-	AN ACT concerning transportation.
5		-	Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
6		-	represented in the General Assembly:
7		-	Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by
8		-	changing Sections 3-606, 3-606.1, and 3-610.1 as follows:
9		-	(625 ILCS 5/3-606) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 3-606)
10		-	Sec. 3-606. Members of General Assembly. Upon receipt of a
11		-	request of a member of the General Assembly, accompanied by
12		-	the appropriate application and fee, the Secretary of State
13		-	shall issue to the member 2 plates as described in this
14		-	Section. Except as otherwise provided in this Section, if If
15		-	the member so requests, the Secretary shall issue 2 identical
16		-	sets of such registration plates for use on 2 different motor
17		-	vehicles. A member may request that the Secretary of State
18		-	issue registration plates in the name of a corporation when
19		-	the corporation owns or leases the vehicle to be registered
20		-	and the member is an officer or director of that corporation.
21		-	Such registration plates shall be issued for a 2-year period
22		-	beginning January 1 of each odd-numbered year and ending
23		-	December 31 of the subsequent even-numbered year. If the
24		-	application is from a member of the Senate, there shall appear
25		-	on the rear plate, in addition to the designation of the State
26		-	and the year for which the license was issued, the word

	4	+	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

	7	+	5 changing Sections 3-606, 3-606.1, and 3-610.1 as follows:

	9	+	7 Sec. 3-606. Members of General Assembly. Upon receipt of a
	10	+	8 request of a member of the General Assembly, accompanied by
	11	+	9 the appropriate application and fee, the Secretary of State
	12	+	10 shall issue to the member 2 plates as described in this
	13	+	11 Section. Except as otherwise provided in this Section, if If
	14	+	12 the member so requests, the Secretary shall issue 2 identical
	15	+	13 sets of such registration plates for use on 2 different motor
	16	+	14 vehicles. A member may request that the Secretary of State
	17	+	15 issue registration plates in the name of a corporation when
