1 AN ACT concerning public aid.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
5 adding Section 5-50 as follows:
6 (305 ILCS 5/5-50 new)
7 Sec. 5-50. Long-acting reversible contraception. The
8 Department shall adopt policies and rates for long-acting
9 reversible contraception on or before October 1, 2023 to
10 ensure that reimbursement is not less than the actual
11 acquisition cost. The Department shall submit any necessary
12 application to the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid
13 Services for the purpose of implementing such policies and
14 rates.
15 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
16 becoming law.
