1111 1 AN ACT concerning elections.
1212 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
1313 3 represented in the General Assembly:
1414 4 Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing
1515 5 Section 19-2.5 as follows:

1717 7 Sec. 19-2.5. Notice for vote by mail ballot.
1818 8 (a) An election authority shall notify all qualified
1919 9 voters, not more than 90 days nor less than 45 days before a
2020 10 general or consolidated election, of the option for permanent
2121 11 vote by mail status using the following notice and including
2222 12 the application for permanent vote by mail status in
2323 13 subsection (b) of Section 19-3:
2424 14 "You may apply to permanently be placed on vote by mail
2525 15 status using the attached application.".
2626 16 (b) The address for a qualified voter that the election
2727 17 authority uses to send the notice for vote by mail ballot shall
2828 18 be treated as an official proof of address and the election
2929 19 authority shall use that address to remove individuals from
3030 20 the voter roll if they do not reside within the election
3131 21 district.
