1 AN ACT concerning local government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Public Officer Prohibited Activities Act is
5 amended by adding Section 1.4 as follows:
6 (50 ILCS 105/1.4 new)
7 Sec. 1.4. County board member as highway commissioner. A
8 member of a county board or county board of commissioners may
9 not also hold the office of township highway commissioner.

11 Section 10. The Public Officer Prohibited Activities Act
12 is amended by repealing Section 1.1.
13 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
