1 AN ACT concerning State government.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Department of Human Services Act is amended
5 by adding Section 10-71 as follows:
6 (20 ILCS 1305/10-71 new)
7 Sec. 10-71. Commission on Dependency and Addiction.
8 (a) The Department shall establish the Commission on
9 Dependency and Addiction. The purpose of the Commission shall
10 be to study fiscal matters regarding appropriating money
11 across statewide programs aimed at tackling substance
12 dependency and addiction.
13 (b) The Commission shall consist of members appointed by
14 the Department.
15 (c) The Department shall provide administrative assistance
16 and necessary staff support services.
