SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $500,000 from the General Revenue Fund to the
Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority to create a
grant program for community groups and organizations working
with youth and young adults for violence prevention activities.
Effective July 1, 202 3.

AN ACT concerning appropriations. 1
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented 2
in the General Assembly: 3
Section 5. The amount of $500,000, or so much of that amount 4
as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 5
Fund to the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority to 6
create a grant program for community groups and organizations 7
working with youth and young adults for violence prevention 8
activities. 9
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 10
2023. 11
