LRB103 31188 DTM 58057 b HB4004 LRB103 31188 DTM 58057 b AN ACT concerning appropriations. 1 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented 2 in the General Assembly: 3 Section 5. The sum of $ 65,000,000, or so much thereof as 4 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund 5 to the Office of the Attorney General to meet its operational 6 expenses for the fiscal year ending June 30, 202 4. 7 Section 10. The sum of $ 5,000,000, or so much thereof as 8 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund 9 to the Office of the Attorney General for disbursement to the 10 Illinois Equal Justice Foundation for use as provided in the 11 Illinois Equal Justice Act. 12 Section 15. The sum of $1,150,000, or so much thereof as 13 is available for use by the Attorney General, is appropriated 14 to the Attorney General from the Illinois Gaming Law 15 Enforcement Fund for State law enforcement purposes. 16 Section 20. The sum of $2 7,000,000, or so much the reof as 17 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Attorney General 18 Court Ordered and Voluntary Compliance Payment Projects Fund 19 to the Office of the Attorney General for use, subject to 20 HB4004 -2- LRB103 31188 DTM 58057 b pertinent court order or agreement, in the performance of any 1 function pertaining to the exercise of the duties of the 2 Attorney General, including State law enforcement and public 3 education. 4 Section 25. The sum of $2,000,000, or so much thereof as 5 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Illinois Charity 6 Bureau Fund to the Office of the Attorney General to enforce 7 the provisions of the Solicitation for Charity Act and to gather 8 and disseminate information about charitable trustees and 9 organizations to the public. 10 Section 30. The sum of $ 1,000,000, or so much thereo f as 11 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Attorney General 12 Whistleblower Reward and Protection Fund to the Office of the 13 Attorney General for ordinary and contingent expenses, 14 including State law enforcement purposes. 15 Section 35. The sum of $ 31,000,000, or so much thereof as 16 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Attorney General's 17 State Projects and Court Ordered Distribution Fund to the 18 Attorney General for payment of interagency agreements, for 19 court-ordered distributions to third parties, a nd, subject to 20 pertinent court order, for performance of any function 21 pertaining to the exercise of the duties of the Attorney 22 HB4004 -3- LRB103 31188 DTM 58057 b General, including State law enforcement and public education. 1 Section 40. The sum of $5,500,000, or so much thereof as 2 may be necessary, is appropriated from Violent Crime Victims 3 Assistance Fund to the Office of the Attorney General for 4 payment of awards and grants under the Violent Crime Victims 5 Assistance Act. 6 Section 45. The sum of $1 3,500,000, or so much thereof as 7 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Attorney General 8 Federal Grant Fund to the Office of the Attorney General for 9 funding for federal grants. 10 Section 50. The sum of $400,000, or so much thereof as may 11 be necessary, is appropriated to the Office of t he Attorney 12 General from the Domestic Violence Fund pursuant to Public Act 13 95-711 for grants to public or private nonprofit agencies for 14 the purposes of facilitating or providing free domestic 15 violence legal advocacy, assistance, or services to victims of 16 domestic violence who are married or formerly married or 17 parties or former parties to a civil union related to order of 18 protection proceedings, or other proceedings for civil remedies 19 for domestic violence. 20 Section 55. The sum of $2,500,000, or so much thereof as 21 HB4004 -4- LRB103 31188 DTM 58057 b may be necessary, is appropriated from the Attorney General 1 Tobacco Fund to the Office of the Attorney General for the 2 oversight, enforcement, and implementation of the Master 3 Settlement Agreement entered in the case of People of the State 4 of Illinois v. Philip Morris, et al (Circuit Court of Cook 5 County, No. 96L13146), for the administration and enforcement 6 of the Tobacco Product Manufacturers’ Escrow Act, for the 7 handling of tobacco -related litigation, and for other law 8 enforcement activities o f the Attorney General. 9 Section 60. The sum of $1,400,000, or so much thereof as 10 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Access to Justice 11 Fund to the Office of the Attorney General for disbursement to 12 the Illinois Equal Justice Foundation pursuant to the Access 13 to Justice Act. 14 Section 65. The sum of $215,000, or so much thereof as may 15 be necessary, is appropriated from the Cannabis Expungement 16 Fund to the Office of the Attorney General for the ordinary and 17 contingent expenses associated with the Cannabis Regulation and 18 Tax Act. 19 Section 70. The sum of $1,600,000, or so much thereof as 20 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Cannabis Expungement 21 Fund to the Office of the Attorney General for disbursement to 22 HB4004 -5- LRB103 31188 DTM 58057 b the Illinois Equal Justice Foundat ion for use as provided in 1 the Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act. 2 Section 75. The sum of $10,500,000, or so much thereof as 3 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund 4 to the office of the Attorney General for payment of awards and 5 grants under the Violent Crime Victims Assistance Act. 6 Section 80. The sum of $7,000,000, or so much thereof as 7 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue fund 8 to the Office of the Attorney General for ordinary and 9 contingent expenses an d operational programs of the Crime 10 Victim Services Division. 11 Section 90. The sum of $5,000,000, or so much thereof as 12 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund 13 to the Office of the Attorney General for grants for 14 organized retail crime enforcement. 15 Section 95. The sum of $4,000,000, or so much thereof as 16 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 17 Fund to the Office of the Attorney General for ordinary and 18 contingent expenses and operational programs of the Medica id 19 Fraud Control Unit. 20 HB4004 -6- LRB103 31188 DTM 58057 b Section 99.
