1 AN ACT concerning public aid.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
5 adding Section 5-55 as follows:
6 (305 ILCS 5/5-55 new)
7 Sec. 5-55. Optometric services; reimbursement rates.
8 Notwithstanding any other law or rule to the contrary, the
9 reimbursement rates set forth in the Department's provider fee
10 schedule that are in effect on the effective date of this
11 amendatory Act of the 103rd General Assembly for optometrist
12 services under CPT codes 92004, 92014, 92015, 99202, 99203,
13 99204, 92340, 92341, 99212, 99213, and 99214 shall be
14 increased by 35%. As used in this Section, "CPT code" means the
15 medical billing code set contained in the most recent version
16 of the Current Procedural Terminology code book published by
17 the American Medical Association.
