Provides that whenever a domestic violence order of protection or civil no contact order is issued by a court, the court shall issue to the petitioner a temporary certificate of economic hardship that shall be accepted as proof of petitioner's income eligibility for any benefit or assistance provided under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, legal aid, or any other State or local assistance program. Provides that the certificate of economic hardship shall be valid for a period of time set by the court and may, upon petition, be extended if, in the discretion of the court, circumstances warrant. Requires all State agencies and local governmental entities that administer a public benefit or assistance program funded with federal monies to apply for all federal waivers or approvals necessary to implement temporary certificates of economic hardship as proof of income eligibility. Provides that implementation of the amendatory Act is contingent on the receipt of all necessary federal waivers or approvals. 1313 1 AN ACT concerning domestic violence.
1414 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
1515 3 represented in the General Assembly:
1616 4 Section 5. The Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963 is
1717 5 amended by adding Section 112A-14.6 as follows:

1919 7 Sec. 112A-14.6. Temporary economic hardship certificates.
2020 8 Whenever a domestic violence order of protection or civil no
2121 9 contact order is issued by a court, the court shall issue to
2222 10 the petitioner a temporary certificate of economic hardship
2323 11 that shall be accepted as proof of petitioner's income
2424 12 eligibility for any benefit or assistance provided under the
2525 13 Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, the Special
2626 14 Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and
2727 15 Children, legal aid, or any other State or local assistance
2828 16 program. The certificate of economic hardship shall be valid

8585 12 the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants,
8686 13 and Children, legal aid, or any other State or local
8787 14 assistance program. The certificate of economic hardship shall
8888 15 be valid for a period of time set by the court and may, upon
8989 16 petition, be extended if, in the discretion of the court,
