Coffey, Jr. SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED: 20 ILCS 2105/2105-410 new Amends the Department of Professional Regulation Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Creates the Licensure Reform Task Force within the Division of Professional Regulation of the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Sets forth the membership of the Task Force. Provides that the members of the Licensure Reform Task Force representing specific industries shall serve for a 2-year period. Provides that the members of the Licensure Reform Task Force shall serve without compensation for the duration of the Task Force. Provides that the Licensure Reform Task Force shall meet quarterly at a time and date it deems appropriate. Provides that the Task Force may conduct formal hearings through online portals. 1111 1 AN ACT concerning State government.
1212 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
1313 3 represented in the General Assembly:
1414 4 Section 5. The Department of Professional Regulation Law
1515 5 of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by
1616 6 adding Section 2105-410 as follows:
1717 7 (20 ILCS 2105/2105-410 new)
1818 8 Sec. 2105-410. The Licensure Reform Task Force.
1919 9 (a) As used in this Section:
2020 10 "Licensing procedure" means the steps taken by the
2121 11 Department to formally verify if an applicant is eligible to
2222 12 receive a license administered by the Department.
2323 13 "Licensing processing" means the cost, education, or
2424 14 requirements it will take an applicant to earn a license
2525 15 administered by the Department.
2626 16 (b) The Licensure Reform Task Force is created within the
2727 17 Division of Professional Regulation to conduct formal hearings
2828 18 about the Division's licensing procedures and to develop and
2929 19 propose policies to reduce the Division's licensing
3030 20 processing.
3131 21 (c) The Licensure Reform Task Force shall consist of:
3232 22 (1) one member appointed by the Speaker of the House

8080 13 appointed by the Governor;
8181 14 (9) 2 members representing the occupational industry
8282 15 appointed by the Governor; and
8383 16 (10) any other experts deemed necessary by the
8484 17 Licensure Reform Task Force appointed by the Governor.
8585 18 (d) The members of the Licensure Reform Task Force
8686 19 representing specific industries shall serve for a 2-year
8787 20 period. Members of the Licensure Reform Task Force shall serve
8888 21 without compensation for the duration of the Licensure Reform
8989 22 Task Force.
9090 23 (e) The Licensure Reform Task Force shall meet quarterly
9191 24 at a time and date it deems appropriate. The Licensure Reform
9292 25 Task Force may conduct formal hearings through online portals.
9393 26 (f) The Licensure Reform Task Force shall submit a report
