| 8 | 8 | | 6 WHEREAS, Tuffy Quinonez was born in Chicago to Tiofilo |

| 9 | 9 | | 7 "Ted" M. and Alberta M. (Martinez) Quinonez on January 31, |

| 10 | 10 | | 8 1947; he moved to Rockford at the age of five and graduated |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 9 from West High School in 1965 before attending Lincoln Barber |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 10 College; he served his country honorably in the United States |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 11 Army; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 12 WHEREAS, As a successful businessman and strong small |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 13 business advocate, Tuffy Quinonez was a pillar of his |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | 14 community; he was the founder of the Rockford Area Mexican |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | 15 Business Association and a member of the American Legion, the |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 16 VFW, the Navy Club, Club Patriotico Mexicano (CPM), Lo Vox |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | 17 Latina, the Latin American Community Organization, the 7th |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 18 Street VFW in Rockford where he served as a Delegate, the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | 19 Association of Clubs, and the Broadway Business Association; |

| 22 | 22 | | 20 and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | 21 WHEREAS, Tuffy Quinonez sought to uplift those in his |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | 22 community through public service; he served multiple terms as |
|---|

| 39 | 39 | | 7 Martine (Johnny) Guerrero; his grandchildren, Dominic and |
|---|
| 40 | 40 | | 8 Angelino Guerrero; his siblings, Celena Quinonez and Frank |
|---|
| 41 | 41 | | 9 Carmona; and numerous other family members; therefore, be it |

| 42 | 42 | | 10 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
