HR0327LRB103 32651 LAW 62349 r HR0327 LRB103 32651 LAW 62349 r HR0327 LRB103 32651 LAW 62349 r 1 HOUSE RESOLUTION 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 3 Representatives wish to congratulate Angie Guerrero of Chicago 4 on the occasion of her retirement as an educator for Chicago 5 Public Schools (CPS) after 27 years of service; and 6 WHEREAS, Angie Guerrero immigrated to the United States 7 from Mexico as a child and was raised in the Little Village 8 neighborhood of Chicago; and 9 WHEREAS, Angie Guerrero has dedicated her career to 10 serving her community as an educator; and 11 WHEREAS, Angie Guerrero began her career in education as a 12 teacher at the Little Village Academy, teaching there for 11 13 years; and 14 WHEREAS, Angie Guerrero subsequently served as assistant 15 principal at Gary Elementary School for 16 years, where she 16 was responsible for assisting in the administration, 17 direction, and organization of the school, as well as 18 providing professional support for fellow educators; and 19 WHEREAS, Angie Guerrero's legacy as an educator continues 20 through her son, who found his own calling in education and has HR0327 LRB103 32651 LAW 62349 r HR0327- 2 -LRB103 32651 LAW 62349 r HR0327 - 2 - LRB103 32651 LAW 62349 r HR0327 - 2 - LRB103 32651 LAW 62349 r 1 risen to serving as a principal in CPS; therefore, be it 2 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 3 HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 4 we congratulate Angie Guerrero on her retirement as an 5 educator for Chicago Public Schools (CPS) after 27 years, and 6 we thank her for her decades of service to students, parents, 7 and fellow educators; and be it further 8 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 9 presented to Angie Guerrero as an expression of our esteem and 10 respect.
