| 8 | 8 | | 6 WHEREAS, Angie Guerrero immigrated to the United States |

| 9 | 9 | | 7 from Mexico as a child and was raised in the Little Village |

| 10 | 10 | | 8 neighborhood of Chicago; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 9 WHEREAS, Angie Guerrero has dedicated her career to |

| 12 | 12 | | 10 serving her community as an educator; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 11 WHEREAS, Angie Guerrero began her career in education as a |

| 14 | 14 | | 12 teacher at the Little Village Academy, teaching there for 11 |

| 16 | 16 | | 14 WHEREAS, Angie Guerrero subsequently served as assistant |

| 17 | 17 | | 15 principal at Gary Elementary School for 16 years, where she |

| 18 | 18 | | 16 was responsible for assisting in the administration, |

| 19 | 19 | | 17 direction, and organization of the school, as well as |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 18 providing professional support for fellow educators; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | 19 WHEREAS, Angie Guerrero's legacy as an educator continues |
