4	4	2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
5	5	3 Representatives wish to congratulate the Plymouth Tube Company
6	6	4 on the occasion of its 100th anniversary; and
7	7	5 WHEREAS, The Plymouth Tube Company is a fifth-generation,
8	8	6 family-owned U.S. manufacturing company, classed as a small
9	9	7 business and headquartered in Warrenville; the company was
10	10	8 founded in Plymouth, Michigan in 1924 and specializes in the
11	11	9 manufacturing of steel tubing and titanium and steel
12	12	10 extrusions for demanding use in a variety of markets; and
13	13	11 WHEREAS, The Plymouth Tube Company has grown into a
14	14	12 supplier for a multitude of markets, including aerospace, life
15	15	13 sciences, fluid power, automation, chemical processing, heavy
16	16	14 equipment, nuclear energy, performance racing, space
17	17	15 propulsion, industrial markets, and more, which shapes its
18	18	16 legacy of innovation and continued growth; and
19	19	17 WHEREAS, The Plymouth Tube Company regularly participates
20	20	18 in air shows, including the Paris Air Show and the Farnborough
21	21	19 International Airshow, which brings together leaders in the
22	22	20 aerospace and defense industries to display their latest
23	23	21 innovations, including the Plymouth Tube Company's titanium
24	24	22 extrusions and stainless steel tubing; and

33	33	1 WHEREAS, The Plymouth Tube Company also encourages its
34	34	2 employees to give back to their communities through volunteer
35	35	3 service, specifically challenging them to record a minimum of
36	36	4 100 hours of service or volunteerism per site by September 11,
37	37	5 2024 in honor of Patriot Day; employees recorded a total of
38	38	6 1,633 hours of service, which included sports coaching, elder
39	39	7 care, crisis center assistance, natural disaster relief,
40	40	8 veteran support, animal rescue, and blood drives; and
41	41	9 WHEREAS, The Plymouth Tube Company has engineered
42	42	10 innovations that originated from customer interactions,
43	43	11 including nuclear thimble tubes to house the nuclear reactor
44	44	12 temperature gauges, near-net titanium extrusions for weight
45	45	13 and material savings for both commercial and defense aviation
46	46	14 applications, and Plymouth ProMoly race car chassis tubing
47	47	15 that keeps drivers safe during race day crashes; and
48	48	16 WHEREAS, The Plymouth Tube Company has implemented waste
49	49	17 reduction techniques that include benefits for environmental
50	50	18 sustainability and cost reduction, which, according to the
51	51	19 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, eliminated a costly
52	52	20 hazardous waste stream of ink by changing the printing process
53	53	21 at one manufacturing facility; in addition, the team at a
54	54	22 different Plymouth Tube Company facility identified and
55	55	23 completed a 13.5 million standard cubic feet per year

70	70	5 its 100th anniversary and commend the continued commitment by
