11	11	1 AN ACT concerning public aid.
12	12	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
13	13	3 represented in the General Assembly:
14	14	4 Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
15	15	5 adding Section 5-5a.1 as follows:
16	16	6 (305 ILCS 5/5-5a.1 new)
17	17	7 Sec. 5-5a.1. Telehealth services for persons with
18	18	8 intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Department
19	19	9 shall file an amendment to the Home and Community-Based
20	20	10 Services Waiver Program for Adults with Developmental
21	21	11 Disabilities authorized under Section 1915(c) of the Social
22	22	12 Security Act to incorporate telehealth services administered
23	23	13 by a provider of telehealth services that demonstrates
24	24	14 knowledge and experience in providing medical and emergency
25	25	15 services for persons with intellectual and developmental
26	26	16 disabilities. The Department shall pay administrative fees
27	27	17 associated with implementing telehealth services for all
28	28	18 persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities who
29	29	19 are receiving services under the Home and Community-Based
30	30	20 Services Waiver Program for Adults with Developmental
31	31	21 Disabilities.
32	32	22 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
