The amount of $3,144,700, or so much thereof 5 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 6 Fund to the Board of Higher Education to meet its operational 7 expenses for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024 . 8 Section 10. The sum of $397,100, or so much thereof as may 9 be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to 10 the Board of Higher Education for costs and expenses associated 11 with the administration and enforcement associated with the P -12 20 Longitudinal Education Data System Act. 13 Section 15. The sum of $750,000, or so much thereof as may 13 be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to 14 the Board of Higher Education for competitive grants for 15 nursing schools to increase the number of graduating nurses. 16 Section 55. The sum of $1,055,700, or so much thereof as 6 may be necessary, is appropriated from t he General Revenue Fund 7 to the Board of Higher Education for a grant to the Board of 8 Trustees of the University Center of Lake County for the 9 ordinary and contingent expenses of the Center. 10 Section 66. The sum of $500,000, or so much thereof as may 11 be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of business 12 on June 30, 2023, from appropriations heretofore made for such 13 purpose in Article 124, Section 66 of Public Act 102 -0698 as 14 amended, is reappropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the 15 Board of Higher Education for costs and expenses associated 16 with a Public Higher Education Assessment in the Quad Cities. 17 Section 70. The amount of $600,000, or so much thereof as 1 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Academic Quality 2 Assurance Fund to the Board of Higher Education as supplemental 3 support for costs and expenses associated with the 4 administration and enforcement of 110 ILCS 1010. 5 Section 80. The amount of $100,000, or so much thereof as 6 may be necessary, is ap propriated from the Private College 7 Academic Quality Assurance Fund to the Board of Higher 8 Education as supplemental support for costs and expenses 9 associated with the administration and enforcement of 110 ILCS 10 1005. 11 Section 85. The sum of $5,500,000, or so much thereof as 2 may be necessary, is appropriated from the BHE Federal Grants 3 Fund to the Board of Higher Edu cation to be expended under the 4 terms and conditions associated with the federal contracts and 5 grants moneys received, including prior year costs. 6 Section 100. The sum of $260,000, or so much thereof as 7 maybe necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund 8 to the Board of Higher Education for costs and expenses 9 associated with the implementation of the new strategic plan. 10 Section. 105. The sum of $930,330, or so much thereof as may 1 be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of business 2 on June 30, 2023, from appropriations heretofore made for such 3 purpose in Article 138, Section 385 of Public Act 102 -0698, as 4 amended, is reappropriated from the State Coronavirus Urgent 5 Remediation Emergency Fund to the Board of Higher Education to 6 the Grow Your Own Teachers Program for costs and expenses 7 associated with the Historically Disadvantaged Male Initiative, 8 for purposes permitted by Section 9901 of the American Rescue 9 Plan Act of 2021 and related federal guidance. 10 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 11 2023. 12
