The amount of $ 9,119,300, or so much of that 7 amount as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the clos e 8 of business on June 30, 2023, from a reappropriation heretofore 9 made for such purpose in Article 138, Section 370 of Public Act 10 102-0698, as amended, is reappropriated from the State 11 Coronavirus Urgent Remediation Emergency Fund to the Illinois 12 State Board of Education for costs associated with implementing 13 after school programs for purposes permitted by Section 9901 14 of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and related federal 15 guidance. 16 Section 85. The amount of $ 9,877,300, or so much of that 17 amount as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close 18 of business on June 30, 2023, from a reappropriation heretofore 19 made for such purpose in Article 138, Section 360 of Public Act 20 102-0698,as amended, is reappropriated from the State 21 Coronavirus Urgent R emediation Emergency Fund to the Illinois 22 State Board of Education for costs associated with implementing 23 SB2475 -18- OMB103 00110 KTF 45110 b parent mentoring programs for purposes permitted by Section 1 9901 of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and related federal 2 guidance. 3 Section 90. The amount of $ 66,100, or so much of that 4 amount as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close 5 of business on June 30, 2023, from a reappropriation heretofore 6 made for such purpose in Article 138, Section 365 of Public Act 7 102-0698, as amended, is reappropriated from the State 8 Coronavirus Urgent Remediation Emergency Fund to the Illinois 9 State Board of Education for a grant to the Black and Gold 10 Initiative for mentoring, educational programming, and violence 11 prevention for high school students, f or purposes permitted by 12 Section 9901 of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and related 13 federal guidance. 14 Section 95. The amount of $ 1,500,000, or so much thereof 15 as may be necessary and remains unexpended at the close of 16 business on June 30, 2023, from a reappropriation heretofore 17 made for such purpose in Article 138, Section 1210 of Public 18 Act 102-0698, as amended, is reappropriated from the S tate 19 Coronavirus Urgent Remediation Emergency Fund to the Illinois 20 State Board of Education for a grant to Virtual Learning Systems 21 for costs associated with expenses to provide social studies 22 curriculum to include African American history chapters to all 23 SB2475 -19- OMB103 00110 KTF 45110 b schools statewide, for purposes permitted by Section 9901 of 1 the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and related federal 2 guidance. 3 ARTICLE 4 4 Section 1. The sum of $ 6,043,154,650, or so much thereof 5 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Common School 6 Fund to the Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Illinois 7 for the State’s contribution, as provided by law. 8 Section 5. The sum of $300,000, or so much thereof as may 9 be necessary, is appropriated from the Education Assistance 10 Fund to the Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Illinois 11 for additional costs due to the establishment of minimum 12 retirement allowances pursuant to Sections 16 -136.2 and 16-13 136.3 of the Illinois Pension Code. 14 Section 10. The sum of $400,000, or so m uch thereof as may 15 be necessary, is appropriated from the Common School Fund to 16 the Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Illinois for 17 the employer contributions required by the State as an employer 18 of teachers described under subsection (e) or subse ction (f) 19 of Section 16-158 of the Illinois Pension Code. 20 SB2475 -20- OMB103 00110 KTF 45110 b Section 15. The amount of $ 65,393,587, or so much thereof 1 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue 2 Fund to the Teachers’ Retirement System of the State of Illinois 3 for deposit into the Teacher Health Insurance Security Fund as 4 the State’s contribution for teachers’ health insurance. 5 Section 20. The amount of $ 14,564,000, or so much thereof 6 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Common School 7 Fund to the Public School Teachers’ Pension and Retirement Fund 8 of Chicago for the State’s contribution pursuant to subsection 9 (c) of Section 17-127 of the Illinois Pension Code. 10 Section 25. The amount of $ 308,147,000, or so much thereof 11 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Common School 12 Fund to the Public School Teachers’ Pension and Retirement Fund 13 of Chicago for the State’s contribution pursuant to paragraph 14 (2) of subsection (d) of Section 17 -127 of the Illinois Pension 15 Code. 16 Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 17 2023. 18
