SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Makes appropriations for the ordinary and contingent
expenses of the Illinois Power Agency for the fiscal year
beginning July 1, 202 3, as follows:

AN ACT concerning appropriations. 1
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented 2
in the General Assembly: 3
ARTICLE 1 4
Section 5. The amount of $ 36,000,000, or so much thereof 5
as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Illinois Power 6
Agency from the Illinois Power Agency Operations Fund for it s 7
current and prior year ordinary and contingent expenses , as 8
well as for refunds. 9
Section 10. The amount of $ 4,000,000, or so much thereof 10
as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Illinois Power 11
Agency from the Illinois Power Agency Operations Fund for its 12
ordinary and contingent expenses pursuant to the Energy 13
Transition Act. 14
Section 15. The amount of $56,000,000, or so much thereof 15
as may be necessary, is appropriat ed to the Illinois Power 16
Agency from the Illinois Power Agency Renewable Energy 17
Resources Fund for funding of current and prior fiscal year 18
purchases of renewable energy resources and related expenses, 19
including the refund of bidder deposit fees, refund of 20 SB2532 -2- SDS103 00040 AIH 45040 b
overpayments of alternative compliance payments, and expenses 1
related to the development and administration of the Illinois 2
Solar for All Program, pursuant to subsections (b), (c), and 3
(i) of Section 1-56 of the Illinois Power Agency Act. 4
Section 20. The amount of $11,000,000, or so much thereof 5
as may be necessary, is appropriated to the Illinois Power 6
Agency from the Illinois Power Agency Trust Fund for deposit 7
into the Illinois Power Agency Operations Fund pursuant to 8
subsection (c) of Section 6z -75 of the State Finance Act. 9
Section 99. Effective Date. This Act takes effect July 1, 10
2023.11
