SDS103 00044 AIH 45044 b SB2551 SDS103 00044 AIH 45044 b AN ACT concerning appropriations. 1 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented 2 in the General Assembly: 3 ARTICLE 44 4 Section 5. The sum of $65,000,000, or so much thereof as 5 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund 6 to the Office of the Atto rney General to meet its operational 7 expenses for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023. 8 Section 10. The sum of $5,000,000, or so much thereof as 9 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund 10 to the Office of the Attorney General for d isbursement to the 11 Illinois Equal Justice Foundation for use as provided in the 12 Illinois Equal Justice Act. 13 Section 15. The sum of $1,150,000, or so much thereof as 14 is available for use by the Attorney General, is appropriated 15 to the Attorney Genera l from the Illinois Gaming Law 16 Enforcement Fund for State law enforcement purposes. 17 Section 20. The sum of $27,000,000, or so much thereof as 18 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Attorney General 19 SB2551 -2- SDS103 00044 AIH 45044 b Court Ordered and Voluntary Compliance Payment Pro jects Fund 1 to the Office of the Attorney General for use, subject to 2 pertinent court order or agreement, in the performance of any 3 function pertaining to the exercise of the duties of the 4 Attorney General, including State law enforcement and public 5 education. 6 Section 25. The sum of $2,000,000, or so much thereof as 7 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Illinois Charity 8 Bureau Fund to the Office of the Attorney General to enforce 9 the provisions of the Solicitation for Charity Act and to gather 10 and disseminate information about charitable trustees and 11 organizations to the public. 12 Section 30. The sum of $1,000,000, or so much thereof as 13 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Attorney General 14 Whistleblower Reward and Protection Fund to the Offic e of the 15 Attorney General for ordinary and contingent expenses, 16 including State law enforcement purposes. 17 Section 35. The sum of $31,000,000, or so much thereof as 18 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Attorney General's 19 State Projects and Court O rdered Distribution Fund to the 20 Attorney General for payment of interagency agreements, for 21 court-ordered distributions to third parties, and subject to 22 SB2551 -3- SDS103 00044 AIH 45044 b pertinent court order, for performance of any function 1 pertaining to the exercise of the duties of the Attorney 2 General, including State law enforcement and public education. 3 Section 40. The sum of $5,500,000, or so much thereof as 4 may be necessary, is appropriated from Violent Crime Victims 5 Assistance Fund to the Office of the Attorney General for 6 payment of awards and grants under the Violent Crime Victims 7 Assistance Act. 8 Section 45. The sum of $13,500,000, or so much thereof as 9 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Attorney General 10 Federal Grant Fund to the Office of the Attorney General for 11 funding for federal grants. 12 Section 50. The sum of $500,000, or so much thereof as may 13 be necessary, is appropriated to the Office of the Attorney 14 General from the Domestic Violence Fund pursuant to Public Act 15 95-711 for grants to public or private no nprofit agencies for 16 the purposes of facilitating or providing free domestic 17 violence legal advocacy, assistance, or services to victims of 18 domestic violence who are married or formerly married or 19 parties or former parties to a civil union related to order of 20 protection proceedings, or other proceedings for civil remedies 21 for domestic violence. 22 SB2551 -4- SDS103 00044 AIH 45044 b Section 55. The sum of $2,500,000, or so much thereof as 1 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Attorney General 2 Tobacco Fund to the Office of the Attorney G eneral for the 3 oversight, enforcement, and implementation of the Master 4 Settlement Agreement entered in the case of People of the State 5 of Illinois v. Philip Morris, et al (Circuit Court of Cook 6 County, No. 96L13146), for the administration and enforcement 7 of the Tobacco Product Manufacturers’ Escrow Act, for the 8 handling of tobacco -related litigation, and for other law 9 enforcement activities of the Attorney General. 10 Section 60. The sum of $1,400,000, or so much thereof as 11 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Access to Justice 12 Fund to the Office of the Attorney General for disbursement to 13 the Illinois Equal Justice Foundation pursuant to the Access 14 to Justice Act. 15 Section 65. The sum of $215,000, or so much thereof as may 16 be necessary, is appropriated from the Cannabis Expungement 17 Fund to the Office of the Attorney General for the ordinary and 18 contingent expenses associated with the Cannabis Regulation and 19 Tax Act. 20 Section 70. The sum of $1,600,000, or so much thereof as 21 SB2551 -5- SDS103 00044 AIH 45044 b may be necessary, is appropriated from the Cannabis Expungement 1 Fund to the Office of the Attorney General for disbursement to 2 the Illinois Equal Justice Foundation for use as provided in 3 the Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act. 4 Section 75. The sum of $10,500,000, or so much thereof as 5 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund 6 to the office of the Attorney General for payment of awards and 7 grants under the Violent Crime Victims Assistance Act. 8 Section 80. The sum of $7,000,000, or so much there of as 9 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue fund 10 to the Office of the Attorney General for ordinary and 11 contingent expenses and operational programs of the Crime 12 Victim Services Division. 13 Section 85. The sum of $5,000,000, or so mu ch thereof as 14 may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund 15 to the Office of the Attorney General for grants for organized 16 retail crime enforcement. 17 18 Section 90. The sum of $4,000,000, or so much thereof as may 19 be necessary, is appropr iated from the General Revenue Fund to 20 the Office of the Attorney General for ordinary and contingent 21 expenses and operational programs of the Medicaid Fraud Control 22 SB2551 -6- SDS103 00044 AIH 45044 b Unit. 1 Section 99.
