12	12	1 AN ACT concerning local government.
13	13	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
14	14	3 represented in the General Assembly:
15	15	4 Section 5. The Township Code is amended by adding Section
16	16	5 85-70 as follows:
17	17	6 (60 ILCS 1/85-70 new)
18	18	7 Sec. 85-70. Bus transportation for ADA paratransit and
19	19	8 senior citizens. Townships in a county with a population of
20	20	9 500,000 or more may enter into intergovernmental agreements to
21	21	10 provide ADA paratransit bus transportation and bus
22	22	11 transportation for senior citizens between townships. The
23	23	12 township providing service may apply to the Department of
24	24	13 Human Services to receive grants to reimburse costs from the
25	25	14 Township Bus Service Fund, a special fund that is created in
26	26	15 the State treasury, and, subject to appropriation and as
27	27	16 directed by the Secretary of Human Services, moneys in the
28	28	17 Fund may be expended for reimbursement costs as provided in
29	29	18 this Section and for no other purpose.
30	30	19 Section 10. The State Finance Act is amended by adding
