The sum of $10,000,000, or so much thereof as 9 may be necessary, is appropriated from the Illinois Affordable 10 Housing Trust Fund to the Department of Human Services for 11 administration by the Illi nois Housing Development Authority, 12 for administration of the Illinois Affordable Housing Act. 13 Section 215. The sum of $80,000,000, or so much thereof 14 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Illinois 15 Affordable Housing Trust Fund to the Departme nt of Human 16 Services for the Illinois Housing Development Authority for the 17 Homeowners Assistance Program authorized by Section 3206 of the 18 American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and any associated federal 19 guidance, to fund the permitted purposes of the program 20 including grants for mortgage payments, homeowner’s insurance, 21 and utility assistance, and associated administrative costs. 22 SB3842 -49- OMB103 00188 DXI 45188 b Section 220.
