SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
Appropriates $20,000,000 from the General Revenue Fund to
the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity for a grant
to the Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center for the purpose of
constructing a new building on the Chicago Children’s Advocacy
Center’s campus as part of the Chicago Advocacy Network for
Hope initiative. Effective July 1, 2024.

AN ACT concerning appropriations. 1
Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented 2
in the General Assembly: 3
Section 5. The amount of $20,000,000, or so much of that 4
amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General 5
Revenue Fund to the Department of Commerc e and Economic 6
Opportunity for a grant to the Chicago Children’s Advocacy 7
Center for the purpose of constructing a new building on the 8
Chicago Children’s Advocacy Center’s campus as part of the 9
Chicago Advocacy Network for Hope initiative. 10
Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 11
2024. 12
