1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of Martha G. Richmond of Hillsboro, who
4 passed away on January 20, 2023 at the age of 90; and
5 WHEREAS, Martha Richmond was born in Waynesboro,
6 Tennessee; and
7 WHEREAS, Martha Richmond was preceded in death by her
8 parents, E. R. Davis and Ethel W. Davis; her husband, Carrol J.
9 "C. J." Richmond; and her daughters, Peggy Sue Joyce (Morgan)
10 and Laura Kay Moler (Richmond); and
11 WHEREAS, Martha Richmond is survived by her children,
12 Rebecca Ann Hartel (LeRoy), Lonnie Dane Morgan, Judy DeLane
13 Goad (Charlie), Terry Lee Richmond (Tammy), and Betsy Jane
14 Murphy (Don); her 12 grandchildren; her 13
15 great-grandchildren; and her 16 great-great-grandchildren;
16 therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
18 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
19 Martha G. Richmond and extend our sincere condolences to her
20 family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
21 further
