"Gerry" Armstrong of 4 Monmouth, who passed away on January 29, 2023; and 5 WHEREAS, Gerry Armstrong was born to Leroy and Betty 6 (Linder) Armstrong in Galesburg on September 6, 1948; he was 7 raised and educated in Cameron, and he graduated from Warren 8 High School in 1966; he served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 9 1970; he married Cheryl Carlson in Monmouth on June 3, 2000; 10 and 11 WHEREAS, Gerry Armstrong worked at IMI Cornelius in 12 Monmouth for over 25 years; and 13 WHEREAS, Gerry Armstrong was an avid NASCAR fan and 14 enjoyed going to the casino; and 15 WHEREAS, Gerry Armstrong was preceded in death by his 16 parents; and 17 WHEREAS, Gerry Armstrong is survived by his wife, Cheryl 18 Armstrong; his children, Brian Armstrong, Robert (Carrie) 19 Armstrong, and Melissa Armstrong; his stepson, John (Nathan 20 Melton) Armstrong; his grandchildren, Aiden, Brady, Jaxon, SR0101 LRB103 31209 ECR 58126 r SR0101- 2 -LRB103 31209 ECR 58126 r SR0101 - 2 - LRB103 31209 ECR 58126 r SR0101 - 2 - LRB103 31209 ECR 58126 r 1 Emily, Lilly, and Ian; his siblings, Ann (Roger) Benson, Larry 2 (Kathy) Armstrong, and Jim Armstrong; and his numerous nieces 3 and nephews; therefore, be it 4 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 5 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 6 Gerald L.
