8 | 8 | | 6 (Baker) Ferguson in Piper City on April 30, 1931; he lived for |

9 | 9 | | 7 several years with his grandparents, Calvin and Lola Belle, |

10 | 10 | | 8 and 10 aunts and uncles; he graduated from Chenoa High School; |

11 | 11 | | 9 he married Norma Delores Eisele in Flanagan on September 3, |

12 | 12 | | 10 1950; he served as an aircraft mechanic in the U.S. Air Force |

13 | 13 | | 11 during the Korean War; and |

14 | 14 | | 12 WHEREAS, Roger Ferguson and Delores moved to Campus to |

15 | 15 | | 13 farm and raise dairy cows and hogs after his discharge from the |

16 | 16 | | 14 military; he farmed for over 40 years and then began a second |

17 | 17 | | 15 career in professional photography; he was a member of the |

18 | 18 | | 16 Illinois Photographer Association and won several awards for |
---|
19 | 19 | | 17 his portraits; he was recognized by the Burrell Printing |

20 | 20 | | 18 Company for photography, and his photo was selected as the |

21 | 21 | | 19 cover for a brochure widely distributed throughout the U.S.; |
