1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of Linka M. Jones of Park Ridge, who
4 passed away on July 26, 2023; and
5 WHEREAS, Linka Jones was the wife of Roger A. Jones for 55
6 years; the mother of Kimberly Jones, Mark Jones, and Mary Jo
7 (Jones) Marchetta; the grandmother of Christina Jones, Daniel
8 Jones, Jonathan Jones, and Michaelene Marchetta; the sister of
9 the late Paul Kirst; and the aunt, cousin, and friend to many;
10 therefore, be it
11 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
12 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13 Linka M. Jones and extend our sincere condolences to her
14 family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
15 further
16 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17 presented to the family of Linka Jones as an expression of our
18 deepest sympathy.
