| 4 | 4 | | 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |

| 5 | 5 | | 3 to learn of the death of Clarence Franklin "Frank" Meredith of |

| 6 | 6 | | 4 Sarasota, Florida, formerly of Sherman, who passed away on |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | 5 August 6, 2023; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | 6 WHEREAS, Frank Meredith was born in Pana on July 31, 1941; |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 7 he served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years; he married Deborah |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 8 Shroyer in April 2006; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 9 WHEREAS, Frank Meredith retired from the State of Illinois |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 10 after 24 years of service; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 11 WHEREAS, Frank Meredith served as the Mayor of the Village |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 12 of Sherman from 1987 to 2007; he also served as president of |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 13 the Illinois Municipal League from 2000 to 2001; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | 14 WHEREAS, Frank Meredith was preceded in death by his best |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | 15 friend and shih tzu, Max; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 16 WHEREAS, Frank Meredith is survived by his wife, Deborah |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | 17 Meredith; his daughter, Kristin (Chris) Fulscher; his son, |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 18 Brian (Melis) Meredith-Evans; his stepsons, Arik (Nicole) and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | 19 Andrew (Stephanie) Smith; his grandchildren, Carson |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | 20 (Courtney), Cameron, Adam, Maddox, Sadie, Jaxon, Ty, and |
