44 2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to
55 3 congratulate Christine Myers on the occasion of her retirement
66 4 as executive director of the Livingston County Mental Health
77 5 and Disabilities Boards; and
88 6 WHEREAS, Christine Myers' dedication to improving the
99 7 lives of others began with her early work in the Birth to Three
1010 8 Early Intervention Program, followed by serving as an activity
1111 9 director, case manager, and Special Olympics coach for a
1212 10 Center for Developmental Disability Services; she then worked
1313 11 as an independent service coordinator for 13 years; and
1414 12 WHEREAS, Christine Myers has served as executive director
1515 13 of the Livingston County Mental Health and Disabilities Boards
1616 14 since 2015, providing leadership in advancing behavioral
1717 15 health in Livingston County through this position and as an
1818 16 active member of the Association of Community Mental Health
1919 17 Authorities of Illinois (ACMHAI); and
2020 18 WHEREAS, Christine Myers has brought her expertise and
2121 19 passion for helping others to the membership of ACMHAI, where
2222 20 she has been an ongoing contributor, strong advocate, and
2323 21 skilled spokesperson on intellectual and developmental
2424 22 disabilities and behavioral health issues, serving as the

3333 1 chair of the Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Committee

3535 3 WHEREAS, While serving on the ACMHAI Legislative
3636 4 Committee, Christine Myers has demonstrated a keen awareness
3737 5 of the legislative process and has consistently advanced
3838 6 community-based behavioral health and system issues within
3939 7 Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Services in Illinois;
4040 8 and
4141 9 WHEREAS, Christine Myers has served on the Executive
4242 10 Council of the Illinois Public Health Association,
4343 11 representing the interests of community mental health and
4444 12 developmental disabilities boards to the public health
4545 13 community; and
4646 14 WHEREAS, Christine Myers serves as director of the
4747 15 Livingston County Commission on Children and Youth, treasurer
4848 16 of the Livingston County Homeless Coalition, and as a member
4949 17 of the OSF Livingston Community Health Needs Assessment Team;

5151 19 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
