| 5 | 5 | | 3 to learn of the death of Jan Christensen of East Moline, who |

| 6 | 6 | | 4 passed away on May 17, 2024; and |

| 7 | 7 | | 5 WHEREAS, Jan Christensen was born to Janice and Vern |

| 8 | 8 | | 6 Christensen in Rock Island on April 9, 1948; he graduated from |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 7 Moline High School in 1966; he attended Blackhawk College |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 8 before being drafted to served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam; he |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 9 graduated with a degree in psychology from St. Ambrose |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 10 College; he married Diane Eldred on August 2, 1969; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 11 WHEREAS, During high school, Jan Christensen worked at his |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 12 grandfather's business the former Knox Mortuary; as an adult, |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 13 he worked at Farmall, and then he and a partner purchased the |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | 14 Fol-da-tank Company from his father-in-law, Giles Eldred; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | 15 WHEREAS, Jan Christensen served on the vestry of Trinity |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 16 Episcopal Church as a member and as senior warden; he served on |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | 17 the Friendship Manor Board and was a member of the Rock Island |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 18 Rotary Club for many years; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | 19 WHEREAS, Jan Christensen is survived by his wife of 54 |

| 22 | 22 | | 20 years, Diane; his children, Chad (Steph) Christensen and Beth |

| 23 | 23 | | 21 (David) Carlin; his grandchildren, Vanessa Christensen, Andrew |
