| 7 | 7 | | 5 WHEREAS, Sheila Stevenson was born to Henry and Winifred |

| 8 | 8 | | 6 (Worley) Stevenson in Paddington in London, England on August |

| 9 | 9 | | 7 26, 1934; and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 8 WHEREAS, Sheila Stevenson was evacuated from London during |

| 11 | 11 | | 9 World War II and lived in Wales with a host family until after |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 10 the war when her family settled in Sussex; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 11 WHEREAS, Sheila Stevenson graduated with a degree in |

| 14 | 14 | | 12 history from the University of Leicester; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 13 WHEREAS, Sheila Stevenson was passionate about library |

| 16 | 16 | | 14 science; she first came to the United States to work at the |

| 17 | 17 | | 15 Baltimore Public Library, and she started working at the Oak |

| 18 | 18 | | 16 Park Public Library in 1973; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | 17 WHEREAS, Sheila Stevenson had a three-decade-long career |

| 20 | 20 | | 18 at the Oak Park Public Library, where she became a great friend |

| 21 | 21 | | 19 to co-workers and patrons; she was dedicated to the library's |

| 43 | 43 | | 13 parents and her sister, Gillian (Henry) Stevenson Smith; and |
