| 5 | 5 | | 3 to learn of the death of David De Wayne "Dave" Armstrong of |

| 6 | 6 | | 4 East Peoria, who passed away on August 8, 2024; and |

| 7 | 7 | | 5 WHEREAS, David Armstrong was born to Remus and Fern |

| 8 | 8 | | 6 (Keltner) Armstrong in Peoria on June 23, 1948; he served in |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 7 the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War; he married Carla Louise |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 8 Weber in Peoria on August 20, 1972; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 9 WHEREAS, David Armstrong was a full-time baker at Carl's |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 10 Bakery in East Peoria; he retired from the City of East Peoria |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 11 in 2000, after 32 years of service as a foreman over public |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 12 works; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 13 WHEREAS, David Armstrong was a retired member of Teamster & |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | 14 Chauffeurs Union Local 627 in Peoria, and he was a member of |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | 15 Eastside Bible Church in Morton; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | 16 WHEREAS, David Armstrong enjoyed serving the public and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | 17 took great pride in his work with the community, especially |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 18 his involvement with the Festival of Lights; he enjoyed |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | 19 horticulture, being outdoors, landscaping, fishing, and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | 20 tending to his flowers and had a special love for dogs; and |
|---|

| 39 | 39 | | 9 Tabor, Rachel Clauson, Ryan Clauson, and Jack Clauson; his |

| 40 | 40 | | 10 twin brother, Donald Armstrong; his sister, Jacqueline (Gary) |
