| 9 | 9 | | 7 WHEREAS, Mohamed Miah Ali Mohamed left Burma due to the |

| 10 | 10 | | 8 persecution against him and his community, living the majority |

| 11 | 11 | | 9 of his adult life in different countries; and |

| 12 | 12 | | 10 WHEREAS, Mohamed Miah Ali Mohamed resettled in Chicago in |

| 13 | 13 | | 11 2015, where he attended English and citizenship classes, |

| 14 | 14 | | 12 eventually becoming a U.S. citizen in 2021; and |

| 15 | 15 | | 13 WHEREAS, Mohamed Miah Ali Mohamed served as a board member |

| 16 | 16 | | 14 of the Rohingya Culture Center to assist the people of Burma; |

| 18 | 18 | | 16 WHEREAS, Mohamed Miah Ali Mohamed continuously advocated |

| 19 | 19 | | 17 for Burma, traveling to Washington D.C. to meet with the |
