| 5 | 5 | | 3 to learn of the death of William Fredrick "Bill" Nicholson of |

| 6 | 6 | | 4 Cordova, who passed away on September 15, 2024; and |

| 7 | 7 | | 5 WHEREAS, Bill Nicholson was born in Hillsdale to Lloyd and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | 6 Minnie (Fillmer) Nicholson on December 20, 1927; he graduated |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 7 from Hillsdale High School in 1946 and served in the United |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | 8 States Coast Guard; he married Doris Fisher, and they later |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | 9 divorced; he married Patricia (Coe) Zimmerman in Henry County |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | 10 on December 31, 1971; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | 11 WHEREAS, Bill Nicholson worked for Riverdale schools from |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | 12 1955 to 1978, John Deere Harvester from 1978 to 1982, and then |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | 13 for United Township High School as a building and grounds |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | 14 supervisor from 1984 until his retirement in 1993; and |

| 17 | 17 | | 15 WHEREAS, Bill Nicholson was a member of the Cordova |

| 18 | 18 | | 16 American Legion and the Erie RC Club; he enjoyed going to tool |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | 17 shows and spending time in his garage woodworking; he was a |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | 18 great neighbor and was always willing to help anyone in need; |
