1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3 to learn of the death of Connie (Hawkins) Michelich of Auburn,
4 who passed away on December 17, 2024; and
5 WHEREAS, Connie Michelich was born to Mildred "Jackie" and
6 William Hawkins in Springfield on February 28, 1955; she
7 married Joe Michelich at Trinity Lutheran Church in Auburn on
8 June 14, 1997; and
9 WHEREAS, Connie Michelich worked at South County
10 Publications in Auburn for almost 40 years; and
11 WHEREAS, Connie Michelich was preceded in death by her
12 parents and her sister, Shirley Hawkins; and
13 WHEREAS, Connie Michelich is survived by her husband, Joe;
14 her sons, Richard (Amy) Schwartz II and Sean (Julia) McAuliff;
15 her daughter, Adrienne Bond; seven grandchildren; and her
16 brothers, Russ Hawkins and Dale Hawkins; therefore, be it
17 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
18 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
19 Connie (Hawkins) Michelich and extend our sincere condolences
20 to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
