11	11	1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
12	12	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
13	13	3 represented in the General Assembly:
14	14	4 Section 5. The Child Care Act of 1969 is amended by
15	15	5 changing Section 4.01 as follows:

19	19	9 Sec. 4.01. License requirement; application; notice;
20	20	10 Department of Early Childhood.
21	21	11 (a) Any person, group of persons or corporation who or
22	22	12 which receives children or arranges for care of one or more
23	23	13 children unrelated to the operator must apply for a license to
24	24	14 operate one of the types of facilities defined in Sections
25	25	15 2.09, 2.18, and 2.20.
26	26	16 (b) Application for a license to operate a day care
27	27	17 center, day care home, or group day care home must be made to
28	28	18 the Department of Early Childhood in the manner and on forms
29	29	19 prescribed by it. If an applicant requests that the
30	30	20 application be offered in a language other than English, the
31	31	21 Department of Early Childhood or its successor must
32	32	22 accommodate the request.
