Charles Meier SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED: 25 ILCS 10/25 new25 ILCS 145/5.10 new Amends the General Assembly Operations Act. Provides that if a witness slip is filed in either chamber on a bill or amendment, and all of the text of that bill or amendment is subsequently incorporated into another bill or amendment, then that witness slip shall, with the consent of the person filing it, be associated in the database of witness slips maintained by the Legislative Information System with the bill or amendment into which the text is incorporated. Amends the Legislative Information System Act. Provides that the Legislative Information System shall establish and maintain a database for tracking witness slips. 12	12	1 AN ACT concerning State government.
13	13	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
14	14	3 represented in the General Assembly:
15	15	4 Section 5. The General Assembly Operations Act is amended
16	16	5 by adding Section 25 as follows:
17	17	6 (25 ILCS 10/25 new)
18	18	7 Sec. 25. Witness slip tracking. Notwithstanding any rule
19	19	8 or provision of law to the contrary, if a witness slip is filed
20	20	9 in either chamber on a bill or amendment and all of the text of
21	21	10 that bill or amendment is subsequently incorporated into
22	22	11 another bill or amendment, then that witness slip shall, with
23	23	12 the consent of the person filing it, be associated in the
24	24	13 database of witness slips maintained by the Legislative
25	25	14 Information System with the bill or amendment into which the
26	26	15 text is incorporated.
27	27	16 Section 10. The Legislative Information System Act is
28	28	17 amended by adding Section 5.10 as follows:
