1111 1 AN ACT concerning criminal law.
1212 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
1313 3 represented in the General Assembly:
1414 4 Section 5. The Unified Code of Corrections is amended by
1515 5 adding Section 3-2-2.5 as follows:
1616 6 (730 ILCS 5/3-2-2.5 new)
1717 7 Sec. 3-2-2.5. Department programs; equal standing for
1818 8 committed persons. On and after the effective date of this
1919 9 amendatory Act of the 104th General Assembly, the Department
2020 10 of Corrections shall make available to each person within the
2121 11 Department's custody all rehabilitative and educational
2222 12 programs and services available to committed persons within
2323 13 that committed person's facility if the committed person is
2424 14 otherwise qualified for those programs and services,
