311 1 AN ACT concerning State government.
412 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
513 3 represented in the General Assembly:
614 4 Section 5. The Personnel Code is amended by changing

917 7 Sec. 8b. Jurisdiction B - Merit and fitness.
1018 8 (a) For positions in the State service subject to the
1119 9 jurisdiction of the Department of Central Management Services
1220 10 with respect to selection and tenure on the basis of merit and
1321 11 fitness, those matters specified in this Section and Sections
1422 12 8b.1 through 8b.17.
1523 13 (b) Application, testing and hiring procedures for all
1624 14 State employment vacancies for positions not exempt under
1725 15 Section 4c shall be reduced to writing and made available to
1826 16 the public via the Department's website or equivalent. All
1927 17 vacant positions subject to Jurisdiction B shall be posted.
2028 18 Vacant positions shall be posted on the Department's website
2129 19 in such a way that potential job candidates can easily
2230 20 identify and apply for job openings and identify the county in
2331 21 which the vacancy is located. Vacant positions shall be
2432 22 updated at least weekly.
2533 23 (c) If a position experiences a vacancy rate that is
