311 1 AN ACT concerning government.
412 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
513 3 represented in the General Assembly:
614 4 Section 5. The Flag Display Act is amended by changing
715 5 Section 1 as follows:
8-6 (5 ILCS 465/1) (from Ch. 1, par. 3301)
9-7 Sec. 1. It shall be the duty of each county board to
10-8 provide United States national flags of not less than four by
11-9 eight feet in size, to be unfurled and kept floating from a
12-10 suitable flag-staff to be placed on the top of or prominently
13-11 displayed on the grounds of the court house in its respective
14-12 county, and it is hereby made the duty of the sheriff of each
15-13 and every county in the State to see that the flag so provided
16-14 shall be hoisted on its flag-staff above or at the court house
17-15 and kept floating from eight o'clock a.m. to five o'clock p.m.
18-16 on each and every legal holiday of the year, and on such other
19-17 days as the county board may direct.
20-18 The county board may provide for the display of an MIA flag
21-19 at the court house in its county, either upon the same
22-20 flag-staff as the United States national flag or otherwise.
