3	13		1 AN ACT concerning education.
4	14		2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
5	15		3 represented in the General Assembly:
6	16		4 Section 5. The School Safety Drill Act is amended by
7	17		5 adding Section 22 as follows:
8		-	6 (105 ILCS 128/22 new)
9		-	7 Sec. 22. Substitute personnel training and support.
10		-	8 (a) A school district shall provide training on school
11		-	9 evacuation drills and law enforcement lockdown drills to all
12		-	10 school personnel serving in a substitute capacity. Training
13		-	11 shall be provided in person when available. With respect to
14		-	12 individuals who hold a Short-Term Substitute Teaching License
15		-	13 under Section 21B-20 of the School Code, this training may be
16		-	14 included as part of the training provided under Section
17		-	15 10-20.67 of the School Code.
18		-	16 (b) In addition to the training under subsection (a), a
19		-	17 school district shall provide support for substitute personnel
20		-	18 by ensuring that recommendations are implemented, including,
21		-	19 without limitation, that:
22		-	20 (1) maps indicating all school exits are prominently
23		-	21 displayed in every classroom; and
24		-	22 (2) the information packet given to
25		-	23 full-time-equivalent employees includes district-approved
