18 | 18 | | 8 (a) No legislator may engage in promoting or opposing in |

19 | 19 | | 9 any manner the passage by the General Assembly of any |
---|
20 | 20 | | 10 legislative matter affecting the interests of any individual, |
---|
21 | 21 | | 11 association, or corporation as distinct from those of the |
---|
22 | 22 | | 12 people of the State as a whole, if he or she accepts |
---|
23 | 23 | | 13 compensation specifically attributable to such lobbying, other |
---|
24 | 24 | | 14 than that provided by law for members of the General Assembly. |
---|
25 | 25 | | 15 Nothing in this Section prohibits a legislator from lobbying |
---|
26 | 26 | | 16 without compensation. |
---|
27 | 27 | | 17 No legislator or executive branch constitutional officer |
---|
28 | 28 | | 18 shall engage in compensated lobbying of the governing body of |

29 | 29 | | 19 a municipality, county, or township, or an official thereof, |
