1414 1 AN ACT concerning employee benefits.
1515 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
1616 3 represented in the General Assembly:
1717 4 Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by adding
1818 5 Section 6-235 as follows:
1919 6 (40 ILCS 5/6-235 new)
2020 7 Sec. 6-235. Retirement Systems Reciprocal Act. The
2121 8 Retirement Systems Reciprocal Act, Article 20 of this Code, is
2222 9 adopted and made a part of this Article, but only with respect
2323 10 to a person who, on or after the effective date of this
2424 11 amendatory Act of the 104th General Assembly, is entitled
2525 12 under this Article to begin receiving a retirement annuity or
2626 13 survivor's annuity (as those terms are defined in Article 20)
2727 14 and who elects to proceed under the Retirement Systems
2828 15 Reciprocal Act.
2929 16 Section 90. The State Mandates Act is amended by adding
3030 17 Section 8.49 as follows:
3131 18 (30 ILCS 805/8.49 new)
3232 19 Sec. 8.49. Exempt mandate. Notwithstanding Sections 6 and
3333 20 8 of this Act, no reimbursement by the State is required for
3434 21 the implementation of any mandate created by this amendatory
