15	15	1 AN ACT concerning public employee benefits.
16	16	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
17	17	3 represented in the General Assembly:
18	18	4 Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by adding
19	19	5 Sections 5-240 and 6-235 as follows:

21	21	7 Sec. 5-240. Retirement Systems Reciprocal Act. The
22	22	8 Retirement Systems Reciprocal Act, Article 20 of this Code, is
23	23	9 adopted and made a part of this Article, but only with respect
24	24	10 to a person who, on or after the effective date of this
25	25	11 amendatory Act of the 104th General Assembly, is entitled
26	26	12 under this Article to begin receiving a retirement annuity or
27	27	13 survivor's annuity (as those terms are defined in Article 20)
28	28	14 and who elects to proceed under the Retirement Systems
29	29	15 Reciprocal Act.
