11	11	1 AN ACT concerning State government.
12	12	2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
13	13	3 represented in the General Assembly:
14	14	4 Section 5. The Department of Commerce and Economic
15	15	5 Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois
16	16	6 is amended by adding Section 1110 as follows:
17	17	7 (20 ILCS 605/1110 new)
18	18	8 Sec. 1110. Commission on Tourism.
19	19	9 (a) A Commission on Tourism is hereby established to
20	20	10 develop the statewide travel and tourism strategy described in
21	21	11 subsection (c).
22	22	12 (b) The Commission shall consist of the following members:
23	23	13 (1) the Director of Commerce and Economic Opportunity
24	24	14 or the Director's designee, who shall serve as a cochair
25	25	15 of the Commission;
26	26	16 (2) the Director of Natural Resources or the
27	27	17 Director's designee, who shall serve as a cochair of the
28	28	18 Commission;
29	29	19 (3) the Director of Revenue or the Director's
30	30	20 designee;
31	31	21 (4) the Secretary of Transportation or the Secretary's
32	32	22 designee;

85	85	18 (c) The Commission shall develop a statewide travel and
86	86	19 tourism strategy with recommendations for new policies and
87	87	20 initiatives to promote domestic and international travel
88	88	21 opportunities throughout Illinois with the goal of increasing
89	89	22 the Illinois market share of international and interstate
90	90	23 travel. The recommendations shall include, but shall not be
91	91	24 limited to, strategies to promote visits to Illinois public
92	92	25 lands, waters, shores, monuments, and other iconic
93	93	26 destinations with the goal of expanding job creation in
