Provides that notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, employers and State-supported institutions of higher learning in this State may establish, maintain, and implement policies, practices, and requirements for the employment and conduct of employees in the workplace that are designed to safeguard employees and applicants for employment from discrimination based on race, creed, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, sexual orientation, or gender identity. Provides that the policies, practices, and requirements may be developed and administered through an office of diversity, equity, and inclusion or another administrative office or program established by the employer or State-supported institution of higher learning. 19 | 19 | | 9 quasi-governmental body, or any person or group of persons |
---|
20 | 20 | | 10 that employs any person to work, labor, or exercise skill in |

21 | 21 | | 11 connection with the operation of any business, industry, |
---|
22 | 22 | | 12 vocation, or occupation. |

23 | 23 | | 13 "State-supported institution of higher learning" means the |

24 | 24 | | 14 University of Illinois, Southern Illinois University, Chicago |

25 | 25 | | 15 State University, Eastern Illinois University, Governors State |

26 | 26 | | 16 University, Illinois State University, Northeastern Illinois |
