3	11		1 AN ACT concerning courts.
4	12		2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
5	13		3 represented in the General Assembly:
6	14		4 Section 5. The Judicial Privacy Act is amended by changing
7	15		5 Section 1-10 as follows:
8	16		6 (705 ILCS 90/1-10)
9	17		7 Sec. 1-10. Definitions. As used in this Act:
10	18		8 "Government agency" includes all agencies, authorities,
11	19		9 boards, commissions, departments, institutions, offices, and
12	20		10 any other bodies politic and corporate of the State created by
13	21		11 the constitution or statute, whether in the executive,
14	22		12 judicial, or legislative branch; all units and corporate
15	23		13 outgrowths created by executive order of the Governor or any
16	24		14 constitutional officer, by the Supreme Court, or by resolution
17	25		15 of the General Assembly; or agencies, authorities, boards,
18	26		16 commissions, departments, institutions, offices, and any other
19	27		17 bodies politic and corporate of a unit of local government, or
20	28		18 school district.
21	29		19 "Home address" includes a judicial officer's permanent
22	30		20 residence and any secondary residences affirmatively
23	31		21 identified by the judicial officer, but does not include a
24	32		22 judicial officer's work address.
25	33		23 "Immediate family" includes a judicial officer's spouse,

34	68		1 child, parent, or any blood relative of the judicial officer
35	69		2 or the judicial officer's spouse who lives in the same
36	70		3 residence.
37	71		4 "Judicial officer" includes actively employed and former
38	72		5 or deceased:
39	73		6 (1) Justices of the United States Supreme Court and
40	74		7 the Illinois Supreme Court;
41	75		8 (2) Judges of the United States Court of Appeals;
42	76		9 (3) Judges and magistrate judges of the United States
43	77		10 District Court;
44	78		11 (4) Judges of the United States Bankruptcy Court;
45	79		12 (5) Judges of the Illinois Appellate Court; and
46	80		13 (6) Judges and associate judges of the Illinois
47	81		14 Circuit Courts; and .
48	82		15 (7) Administrative law judges as defined in Section
49	83		16 1-15 of the Illinois Administrative Procedure Act.
50	84		17 "Personal information" means a home address, home
51	85		18 telephone number, mobile telephone number, pager number,
52	86		19 personal email address, social security number, federal tax
53	87		20 identification number, checking and savings account numbers,
54	88		21 credit card numbers, marital status, and identity of children
55	89		22 under the age of 18.
56	90		23 "Publicly available content" means any written, printed,
57	91		24 or electronic document or record that provides information or
58	92		25 that serves as a document or record maintained, controlled, or
59	93		26 in the possession of a government agency that may be obtained

70		-	1 by any person or entity, from the Internet, from the
71		-	2 government agency upon request either free of charge or for a
72		-	3 fee, or in response to a request under the Freedom of

74		-	5 "Publicly post" or "publicly display" means to communicate
75		-	6 to another or otherwise make available to the general public.
76		-	7 "Written request" means written notice signed by a
77		-	8 judicial officer or a representative of the judicial officer's
78		-	9 employer requesting a government agency, person, business, or
79		-	10 association to refrain from posting or displaying publicly
80		-	11 available content that includes the judicial officer's
81		-	12 personal information.
