Requires school districts to annually report to the State Board of Education the following: (1) the amount of funds received by each school district in the preceding school year; (2) the amount of funds reserved by each school district in the preceding school year to serve homeless children and youth; (3) the number of homeless children and youth identified and enrolled in each school district for that same school year; (4) the amount of such funds that were spent on homeless children and youth; (5) the activities on which such funds were spent; and (6) any auxiliary funding provided to the school district through supplemental funding. 311 1 AN ACT concerning education.
412 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
513 3 represented in the General Assembly:
614 4 Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Section
715 5 2-3.206 as follows:
816 6 (105 ILCS 5/2-3.206 new)
917 7 Sec. 2-3.206. Funding for homeless children and youth.
1018 8 (a) School districts shall report to the State Board of
1119 9 Education, on an annual basis:
1220 10 (1) the amount of funds received by each school
1321 11 district in the preceding school year under 20 U.S.C.
1422 12 6313(c)(3)(A);
1523 13 (2) the amount of funds reserved by each school
1624 14 district in the preceding school year to serve homeless
1725 15 children and youth under 20 U.S.C. 6313(c)(3)(A);
1826 16 (3) the number of homeless children and youth
1927 17 identified and enrolled in each school district for that
2028 18 same school year;
2129 19 (4) the amount of such funds that were spent on
22-20 homeless children and youth; and
23-21 (5) the activities on which such funds were spent.
24-22 (b) The State Board of Education shall post the
25-23 information on the State Board's website.
30+20 homeless children and youth;
