311 1 AN ACT concerning regulation.
412 2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
513 3 represented in the General Assembly:
614 4 Section 10. The Child Care Act of 1969 is amended by
715 5 changing Section 3.7 as follows:
816 6 (225 ILCS 10/3.7)
917 7 Sec. 3.7. Exemption from licensure; day care homes and
1018 8 group day care homes serving children of military personnel.
1119 9 Notwithstanding any other provision to the contrary, a day
1220 10 care home or group day care home may be exempt from licensure
1321 11 if it meets all of the following requirements is not required
1422 12 to be licensed under this Act if the day care home or group day
1523 13 care home: (1) it serves dependent children of military
1624 14 personnel; (2) it is located on a military base or federal or
1725 15 government property; and (3) it is certified as a child
1826 16 development program by a branch of the U.S. Department of
1927 17 Defense or the U.S. Coast Guard. The U.S. Department of
2028 18 Defense or the U.S. Coast Guard, or their agents, including an
2129 19 installation commander of a military base on which a day care
2230 20 home or group day care home is located, may assume
2331 21 responsibility for monitoring the day care homes or group day
2432 22 care homes that are exempt from licensure under this Section.
